"Growing Feelings on Paul-Lincke-Ufer"

Awoken by a dear inspiration, this piece has been following me for eight months — moving along with me through places and keeping its cool witnessing the big changes unfolding in my life. Each time I was returning to it meant stepping into a space where time dissolved, efficiency didn’t matter, expectations didn’t exist and where I could experiment purely for the sake of creation.

 Moving in rounds and rounds, it was a long way of searching for the right shades, experimenting, accepting, changing, moving on and finally coming to the point where you are in accordance with the result. Finishing this painting was a big point of personal achievement and my development as artist. 

 I think I could keep on going for another months in search of perfection. Yet at the same time, it is a great lesson to validate your progress and allow the piece meet the world in a form where it tells a story in brushstrokes, each of them reflecting emotions behind.
